What is Multimedia? What are the Various Components of Multimedia?

Multimedia is a combination of text graphics, sound animation and video. The computer brings all three components together to produce a variety of application.

1. Text: - Any multimedia screen consists of same text so text is the first step in multimedia. There are many word processor to type the text not only typing we can also edit and format text.

2. Images: - Pictures are extensively used in multimedia to discuss about the concept the images can be used besides the matter can be used as background in the screen The images can be obtained in multimedia from clip-art scanning pictures or from downloads from internet or compact disk.

3. Graphics: - Graphics represent the messages in a convenient way of expression. In multimedia instead of containing the profit of sale performance in words the graphics could be used to illustrate and explain about the products, in an office various types of charts and graphics are available in multimedia to get the attention of views. 

4. Animation: - Let us imagine the flying letters and pictures in the screen. Many advertisers are using now a day’s animations extensively. Special effects can be made in animation with 2nd or 3rd dimensions.

5. Audio: - The above images, graphics and animations are of useless unless they are accompanied by sound recorder many advertisers using sound effectively in multimedia to explain the concept.

6. Music: - Melodious music place a important part in attracting the many advertisers are using music to contact viewers in order to buy the products.

7. Video: - Video is a combination of above sound, images, animations etc.
